SEO research usually repeats the same three inputs: a keyword you are reading, the exact page you are on, or the site's domain. SEOJump keeps those inputs in the browser and sends them straight to the tool you choose.
The three contexts SEOJump understands
%selectedText%— a selected keyword, phrase or text fragment.%currentUrl%— the exact page currently open.%currentDomain%— the domain of the current page.
A shortcut is just a URL template containing one of those placeholders. When you trigger it, SEOJump replaces the placeholder and opens the finished URL.
Workflow 1: go from a keyword to several research views
Select a phrase on a page. From the SEOJump toolbar or context menu, open it in Google, Ahrefs Keyword Generator, Ahrefs Keyword Difficulty, Google Trends, Semrush Keyword Overview or another tool you have added.
This is useful when you are scanning a competitor, Reddit thread, Search Console export or article and want to investigate a phrase without breaking your reading flow.
Workflow 2: inspect the current competitor domain
Stay on the competitor site and use a %currentDomain% shortcut. Typical checks include estimated traffic, backlink samples, website authority, Similarweb, Whois and indexed pages.
Workflow 3: inspect the exact page
Some questions are page-specific rather than domain-wide. Use %currentUrl% for exact-URL backlink checks, broken-link checks, archived versions, PageSpeed or other page-level tools.
Add your own SEO tools
SEOJump is not limited to the default list. If a site exposes its query in the URL, copy a working URL and replace the variable part with the appropriate placeholder. The website's URL Builder helps create and test those templates.
q=%selectedText%. Select “square foot calculator”, trigger the shortcut, and Trends opens with that phrase already filled in.Organize by job, not by vendor
A useful setup is to group shortcuts around decisions: Keyword Research, SERP, Traffic, Backlinks, Technical, Archive and Domain Research. That makes the extension behave like a small SEO workstation instead of a bookmark collection.
Install and configure SEOJump
SEOJump is currently distributed as an open-source Chrome extension. Go to the extension page for installation steps, then choose the toolbar mode that fits your workflow. The right-click menu remains available independently.
